Getting Started with your piece of Custom Furniture
1.) The Idea
Custom furniture begins with an idea. That idea may come from a piece you already own,
from a picture in a book or magazine, a picture on this website, or from a piece of furniture at a friend's
house or furniture store.
2.) Contact Us
Once you have an idea, give us a call to set up a meeting. We'll help you refine your idea, make a
design, size the piece, select the wood, features and finish. We'll often go through a series of sketches
during this phase before arriving at the final design.
3.) Place Order / Schedule Construction
The final design will be presented to you along with a detailed price quotation. We require a 50% deposit
when you place the order. The balance, and sales tax if delivered in Texas, will be due prior to delivery.
Once we receive the accepted quotation and deposit, we will calculate our current backlog and give you a
projected delivery date. Sometimes the schedule may vary because of availability of materials, weather, or
other factors beyond our control. We will keep you apprised of our progress. If you have a specific delivery
date requirement, please let us know so we can make every effort to meet it.
4.) Construction and Finishing
After the agreements, the construction phase of the process begins. We invite you to visit your work
in progress at our workshop. During the construction phase, we will report to you any changes in the
anticipated delivery date.
5.) Delivery and Final Payment
We will deliver and install our work in the local area. For customers outside the San Antonio region,
we will arrange for shipping of your product -- the cost of this shipping or other delivery charges will
be included in the original quotation.
Final payment is expected when the work is completed. When the work is completed, we will send you
pictures of the piece prior to shipping or delivery and schedule delivery and payment.
